Nashville, Tenn. (June 3, 2026) — As part of its ongoing commitment to investing in its local communities, leading global tire manufacturer Hankook Tire has announced a $50,000 donation to the Nashville State Community College Foundation.

The donation supports the Nashville State Community College Foundation’s work to provide quality education, remove financial barriers and empower students at Nashville State. In appreciation of the gift, Hankook Tire will be given naming recognition for two classrooms on the Clarksville campus, which is undergoing extensive renovations and expansions to better serve students within the area. Phase 1 included the construction of a new building which opened in January 2026, while Phase 2 includes renovations of existing spaces, scheduled to open early next year.

“As the home to our North American manufacturing plant, Clarksville is an important community for Hankook Tire,” said Rob Williams, President of Hankook Tire America Corp. “We are dedicated to investing in the community, through support of the Nashville State Community College Foundation as the Clarksville campus continues ongoing renovations and expansions. We hope that when students walk into the Hankook Tire Manufacturing classrooms, they will be driven to meet their education goals.”

Hankook Tire opened its first U.S. manufacturing plant in Clarksville in October 2017. Since then, the tiremaker has committed itself to be a dedicated member of the local community, employing more than 1,000 people. The Tennessee Plant is currently undergoing two phases of expansion to enhance production of both its Passenger Car and Light Truck (PCLT) and Truck and Bus Radial (TBR) lines.

“As Nashville State’s Clarksville campus continues to grow its programs and services, we deeply value the support of industry partners like Hankook Tire in helping meet community needs,” said Nashville State Community College Foundation Executive Director, Ryan Parker.

Through investments such as those at its Tennessee Plant, Hankook Tire continues to solidify its standing as a top-seven global tire company by integrating industrial expertise with broad cultural impact. Currently supplying OE tires for 300 vehicle models across 50 global automotive brands, the company's North American growth is anchored by key partnerships with premium manufacturers and EV pioneers like Infiniti, Ford, and Lucid Motors.

The expansion is expected to bring capacity to 11 million units, establishing the Tennessee Plant as one of the largest in North America, and is expected to bring additional jobs to the region further strengthening its ties to the Clarksville community.
