Seoul, Korea, June 26, 2026 — A leading global tire company Hankook Tire & Technology (Hankook Tire) has received three Winner awards in the Product Design category at the ‘Red Dot Design Award 2026,’ one of the world’s most prestigious design competitions, further strengthening its reputation for innovative product design on the global stage.

Recognized as one of the world’s most prestigious design competitions, the Red Dot Design Award honored three Hankook Tire products this year with Winner awards: the ultra-high-performance tire ‘Ventus evo,’ the all-terrain tire ‘iON AT’ for electric SUVs and pickup trucks, and Laufenn’s summer performance tire ‘S FIT2.’ The recognition highlights Hankook Tire's innovative design approach and product development excellence as a global tire company.

Among the award-winning products, the ‘Ventus evo’ was recognized for its sharply defined center wheel groove design, which enhances steering precision while reducing road noise. The tire also incorporates a chamfer design and an AI-powered sustainable compound to maintain grip performance while improving mileage by up to 32 percent. In addition, the sidewall features a ‘Vanta Velvet’ graphic with an ultra-fine texture, delivering both aesthetic appeal and functional value.

The ‘iON AT’, scheduled for launch later this year, was recognized for incorporating key EV performance attributes—including energy efficiency, extended mileage, and low noise levels—into an off-road-oriented design. The tire contributes to improved driving range by minimizing energy loss through its optimized tread pattern, while compound optimization effectively reduces heat generation and wear. The product was recognized for successfully integrating innovation and sustainability into a cohesive design.

Laufenn’s ‘S FIT2’ was recognized for its ‘Numeric Sidewall’ design, which reflects the brand’s minimalist design philosophy while reinforcing the tire's distinctive visual identity. The tire delivers precise handling and excellent drainage performance through its asymmetric tread pattern, while features such as the ‘Alignment Indicator’ and ‘EV Mark’ improve user convenience. In addition, its environmentally conscious design incorporates technologies that enhance tread life and reduce noise, reflecting the brand’s commitment to a more sustainable future of mobility.

Organized by the Design Zentrum Nordrhein Westfalen in Germany, the Red Dot Design Award is recognized as one of the world's leading international design awards. Each year, entries are evaluated across three categories—Product Design, Brands & Communication Design, and Design Concept—based on criteria such as innovation, aesthetics, functionality, and overall design quality.

Hankook Tire continues to demonstrate its design excellence on the global stage through consistent recognition at major international design competitions, including the Red Dot Design Award, Germany’s iF Design Award, and the U.S.-based International Design Excellence Awards (IDEA). These achievements reflect Hankook Tire's ongoing efforts to elevate its premium brand image through innovation-led design.
