Tyre Warranty

As we mentioned about the subject,
We would like to state our limited warranty policy in below.

  • Standard Warranty
    • 1. Eligibility

      This warranty standard is applied to the purchaser of any new tyre manufactured by HANKOOK Tyre Co., Ltd.

    • 2. Warranty validity

      This warranty is valid till reaching the minimum depth of groove index TWI* or 5 years since production date, depending what will happen first.

      TWI: Tread Wear Indicator – Minimum groove depth to use the tyre by law. (1.6mm)

    • 3. Condition of claim inspection

      • a. To report claim on the form provided from the manufacturer or the authorized personnel.
      • b. Deliver claim product.
    • 4. Compensation Method

      Hankook will give compensation on the following conditions:

      • - Compensation Amount = Purchasing Price × Adjustment Ratio
      • - Adjust Ratio = Percentage of remaining usable groove depth
    • 5. The warranty does not cover

      • a. The warranty does not cover compensation for time delays, temporary vehicle stoppage, discomfort and costs and inconvenience related to claim submission, calling technical service, extra travel time, extra wages, vehicle downloading, hiring substitute vehicle, vehicle reloading.
      • b. Any financial losses: profit, income, expected savings, company value losses and etc.
      • c. Any other damages, losses and injuries caused directly or indirectly by product fault, assembly mistakes or carelessness, or any mistake of providing tyre services.
    • 6. What is not covered

      This warranty policy does not apply to tyres which are being serviced under the following conditions:

      • a. Any products that were repaired regardless method, scope of repair and person who made a repair.
      • b. Irregular wear or tyre damage due to:
        • - Road hazards such as punctures, cuts, snags, scuffs, carcass bruised or impact breaks.
        • - Fire, wreck or collision.
        • - Improper inflation, overloading, high speed spinning, improper mounting or demounting, running flat, off-road use, racing, vandalism, willful damage or abuse.
        • - Misalignment, wheel imbalance, defective brakes or shock absorber use of tyre chains.
        • - Any tyre which has failed as a result of adding material (e.g. tyre fillers, sealant, or balancing substances)
      • c. Continued use while flat or service under/over inflation.
      • d. Ozone or weather cracking on tyres over four (4) years old from the date of manufacture and stock which is not proper area.
      • e. With less than minimum tread wear out depth, 1.6mm.
      • f. With the serial number cut or buffed.
      • g. Ride disturbance due to damaged wheels or after the first 0.8mm of tread wear.
      • h. Loss of time or use, inconvenience or any incidental or consequential damage.

    • Terms & Conditions
      Hankook Tyre Malaysia — One-Time Road Hazard Masters (Within 180 Days) Conditions apply
    • 1. Customer Claim Conditions
      • a. Warranty applies to purchases from 31st August 2026 with 2~4 pcs Tires (14” and above) of Hankook/Laufenn.
      • b. Tires must have at least 5.5mm tread remaining.
      • c. Claims validity is 180 days from date of purchase with the original invoice and customer details.
      • d. Hankook Tire Malaysia may contact customers for claim verification.
      • e. Tires must be purchased from authorised dealers and registered within 7 days of purchase.
      • f. Damage caused by following subjects are not covered under Road Hazard Masters.
        • i) Tyre damage caused by improper wheel alignment, balancing, tyre mounting, or incorrect wheel size.
          ii) Damage caused by incorrect tyre inflation.
          iii) Damage resulting from accidents, fire, strikes, riots, vandalism, or natural disasters.
          iv) Damage caused by contact with any liquid or chemical substances.
          v) Damage resulting from the application of third-party tyre sealants.
          vi) Tyre damage caused by vehicle mechanical failure, including issues with brakes, absorbers, or other related vehicle components.
          vii) Unauthorised imported tyres for Hankook and Laufenn brands are not covered under this warranty.
      • g. Claims may be rejected if conditions are not met.
      • h. Warranty covers a one-time unconditional replacement for eligible road hazard damage.
      • i. Only one claim is allowed per tyre under this warranty.
    • 2. Inclusion/exclusions
      All Hankook and Laufenn Tires are covered under this one-time Road Hazard Masters, except:
      • a. Original Equipment (OE) Tires supplied with a new vehicle.
      • b. Run-Flat Tires.
      • c. Competition/Racing Tires.
      • d. Tires that have already been claimed under this one-time warranty are not eligible for a subsequent claim.
      • e. Tires that have been compensated under this program are no longer eligible for the Road Hazard Masters Program.
      • f. They remain covered under the standard 5-year warranty, subject to the tire’s production date and applicable warranty terms.
      • g. Tires purchased more than 180 days ago or with more than 10,001 km mileage are not eligible, whichever occurs first.
      • h. RA18, RT03, RT05, LV01, RA58C are excluded from this Road Hazard Masters program
    • 3. Requirements
      To submit a valid customer claim and prevent fraudulent cases, the following must be fulfilled:
      • a. Tyre tread must be above 5.5mm from new.
      • b. Claim must be made within 180 days of the purchase date.
      • c. Original invoice must be provided, showing:
        • - Customer name and address, and purchase date
        • - Customer contact details (phone and email)
        • - Customer tire barcode information (photo)
        • - Hankook/Laufenn tire pattern, tire size, DOT number and barcode on tire bead
      • d. The tyre must be unserviceable (cannot be repaired). Tires with more than one penetration must be replaced.
      • e. Claims may be rejected if requirements are not met or recommend tyre care guidelines are not followed.
      • f. Warranty applies only to Tires purchased from 31st August 2026 onward. Tires bought before this date are not eligible.
      • g. Tyres will be replaced 1 to 1 exchange based on stock availability. Compensated tires are not eligible for the Road Hazard Master program.
      • h. Road Hazard Masters program does not cover tyre installation, balancing, alignment and any other related costs.
      • i. Hankook Tire Malaysia is not responsible for any price difference for a similar range for compensated tyres.
      • j. The warranty claim process is only applicable at participating Hankook Masters.
    • Submission Guideline:
        • 1. Tire Bar Code

        After purchasing, please ensure that you take a clear picture of your tire bar code. Each tire need to have their own bar code as this is your tire identification (Unique code)

        Please be noted, each tire that you purchase needs to be registered and have their image of bar code during registration.

        • 2. Receipt (Proof of purchase)

        Please take a photo of your receipt, photo must to be clear and able to read

        Submission without a clear proof of purchase may lead to disqualification of application.
