Hankook Tire to Showcase Commercial Vehicle Innovations at IAA Transportation 2026

Seoul, Korea, September 14, 2026 — A leading global tire company Hankook Tire & Technology (Hankook Tire) will participate in IAA Transportation 2026, the world’s largest commercial vehicle exhibition, held in Hanover, Germany, from September 15 to 20 (local time), showcasing its latest truck and bus radial (TBR) tire technologies and products.

IAA Transportation is one of the world’s leading exhibitions for the commercial vehicle industry, bringing together global automakers and automotive suppliers to showcase the latest technologies and mobility solutions. Since its first participation in 2010, Hankook Tire has taken part in the commercial vehicle segment of the exhibition six times, including this year. This continued participation aligns with Hankook & Company Group Chairman Hyunbum Cho’s vision to enhance global competitiveness and lead innovation in future mobility technologies.

At the exhibition, Hankook Tire will showcase its portfolio of truck, trailer, and bus tires featuring SMARTEC (Smart + Technology), along with new products specifically developed for trailers and heavy-duty cargo trucks and tractors operating in winter conditions. SMARTEC is Hankook Tire’s advanced TBR technology system designed to enhance five key performance areas: safety, mileage, anti-chip and cut resistance, retreadability, and braking performance.

In particular, Hankook Tire will present a diverse range of products tailored to different transport applications, including Smart Line for long-haul transport, Smart Flex for regional and long-distance applications, and e-SMART City for electric city buses.

In addition, Hankook Tire will present a range of products and services designed to support efficient fleet operations, including the LF95+ trailer tire from its global brand Laufenn, the Alphatread retread tire solution, and the Hankook Smart Fleet tire management solution.

Hankook Tire will also showcase its latest innovations for future mobility. At its booth, the company will exhibit two outcomes of its Design Innovation Project: the 3D-printed Sustainable Concept Tire and WheelBot 2, featuring a three-axis spherical tire structure, highlighting Hankook Tire’s capabilities in future tire technology and design innovation.
