[Recall] Ventus S1 Noble2 '245/45R18 96W', '245/40R19 94W', '275/35R19 96W'
Dear Hankook Tire Customer,
This notice is to inform you accordance with the requirements of the Motor Vehicle Safety Act.
On December 18, 2015 Hankook Tire America Corporation (“Hankook”) reported that Hankook will conduct a recall in certain HANKOOK brand Passenger tires manufactured in between May 20, 2013 through February 14, 2015. The specific tires are Ventus S1 Noble2 245/45R18 96W, 245/40R19 94W, 275/35R19 96W (the “Recalled Tire”) and identified by DOT numbers listed in Table below.
REASONS FOR THIS VOLUNTARY RECALL
The tires subject to the recall may experience cracks in the sidewall on the inside equipped area under certain service conditions, which could lead to air loss.
Under certain extreme service conditions of use or abuse, cracks in the sidewall may form which may lead to air loss and result in loss of vehicle control.
TIRE INFORMATION
The affected tires were produced in between May 20, 2013 through February 14, 2015. The U.S. Department of Transportation (“DOT”) numbers of affected tires are listed on Table below.
The DOT number can be found on the sidewall near the rim. A sample DOT is shown in Picture.
