Seoul, Korea, February 6, 2026 — Hankook Tire & Technology Co., Ltd., a leading global tire company of Hankook & Company Group (Chairman Hyunbum Cho), will participate in the off-road racing event “King of the Hammers,” taking place on February 6 (local time) in the Johnson Valley area of California, United States, to demonstrate its global top-tier SUV tire technology to North American customers.

“King of the Hammers” is a high-intensity off-road racing event held across extreme terrains, including vast deserts, rugged rock formations, and muddy conditions. Each year, the event attracts more than 500 competing teams, draws approximately 80,000 on-site spectators, and reaches over two million online viewers, establishing it as one of North America's premier motorsports spectacles.

At the event, Hankook Tire will supply its SUV-exclusive extreme terrain tire, the Dynapro MT2, to the racing vehicles of three competing drivers—Joel Dulac, Justin Dulac, and Jacob Pacheco—providing reliable support for optimal racing performance under extreme off-road conditions.

The Dynapro MT2 is designed to deliver outstanding traction, grip, and durability on unpaved and extreme off-road terrain. Its off-road-optimized tread pattern provides enhanced traction on muddy and gravel surfaces, while the bold V-shaped sidewall design helps protect the tire against damage from sharp rocks and obstacles. Moreover, the optimized tread block design ensures stable and controlled ride comfort across both on- and off-road driving conditions.

The Dynapro lineup showcases SUV tire technology that has already been proven across major motorsports events in North America. At last year’s King of the Hammers, drivers Joel Dulac and Jacob Pacheco delivered outstanding results by harnessing the core performance capabilities of the Dynapro MT2. Additionally, at the 2024 Antigo Off-Road National event, Michael Funk secured a third-place podium finish equipped with Dynapro tires, further reinforcing Hankook Tire’s top-tier SUV tire technology among local motorsports fans.

In addition, the Dynapro MT2 has been recognized for its world-class design excellence, having won the Winner award at the Red Dot Design Award 2020 in Germany, further highlighting its reputation for innovative design excellence worldwide.

Meanwhile, Hankook Tire continues to enhance its market position in North America, backed by its innovation-driven technology and the premium positioning of its global unified brand, “Hankook.” In addition to sponsoring teams competing in major North American motorsports events, including King of the Hammers, the company has been steadily expanding customer engagement touchpoints by participating in leading automotive exhibitions such as the SEMA Show and Overland Expo.

In addition, Hankook Tire is further reinforcing its positioning as a technology-driven innovator through its role as an Official Tire Partner and Founding Partner of the U.S.-based team golf league, the Tomorrow Golf League (TGL) presented by SoFi. Through this partnership, the company continues to broaden awareness of its innovation-led brand value across sports and entertainment platforms.

Looking ahead, Hankook Tire plans to strengthen its global market leadership by strategically utilizing performance data gathered through its exclusive supply of racing tires and team sponsorships across more than 70 global motorsports events, including the ABB FIA Formula E World Championship and the FIA World Rally Championship (WRC), to advance the development of its core ultra-high-performance (UHP) tire technologies.
