Hankook Tire Motion Graphic Brochures Honored with the iF Design Awards 2013

January 31st, 2013 (Seoul, Korea) - Hankook Tire, the leading and one of the fastest growing tire companies in the world, today proudly announced that its Ventus S1 evo2 Motion Graphic Brochure and Eco Motion Graphic Brochure have won the iF Design Awards 2013 in the communication category.
Both award-winning motion graphic brochures from Hankook Tire (Ventus S1 evo2 Motion Graphic Brochure and Eco Motion Graphic Brochure) were also highly acclaimed for, not only its rich design quality and creativity, but especially for its eco-friendly and emotional approach to communicate complicated technical information to audience in a simpler and easy-to-understand fashion in comparison to the print versions.
Hankook Tire’s Ventus S1 evo2 Motion Graphic Brochure is an online product brochure that depicts the dynamic sensation arising from the excellent and safe driving performance of its ultra-performance tire (UHP), Ventus S1 evo2. In particular, this motion graphic brochure demonstrated the superior tire handling and braking performance of Ventus S1 evo2, especially during high-speed driving. Incorporating the tread pattern of the model and the dynamic mechanic equipment in its motion design, it was highly praised for its future-oriented and sporty impression embedded in the brochure.
The Eco Motion Graphic Brochure also gathered jury’s attention for its delicate story depiction using animation, portraying the quality and benefits of the company’s eco-friendly products (Kinergy eco and enfren eco) as well as its efforts in protecting the environment. Particularly, based on its motives from paper and circular tire shape, this motion graphic brochure emphasized the comparatively low rolling resistance, high energy efficiency and excellent wet braking performance of its eco-friendly products.

The iF Design Awards, for the past 60 years, have belonged to the most international and highly regarded design competitions in the world along with the Red Dot Design Awards and the International Design Excellence Awards (IDEA). Started in 1953 at the Hannover Exhibition Center, Germany as a display of products for convention participants, the iF Design Awards this year have drawn total 4,352 entry submissions from 51 countries that are rich in quality and at the highest level of design.
