Hankook Tire supports 2nd Ferdinand Alexander Porsche Cup

Hankook tire will sponsor this year’s Ferdinand Alexander Porsche Cup, the biggest
Porsche event in Austria. The bi-annual event is a gathering of Porsche lovers from all across Europe. It is world-wide the only event with the presence of Ferdinand Alexander Porsche, the creator of the legendary Porsche 911 and Porsche 904.
The 2005 F.A. Porsche Cup will take place May 27-29, 2005 at the scenic old airfield in Zell am See, Austria. The Porsche Classic Club Austria will organize this exclusive event for the second time, after the great success of 2003, and will enjoy extensive support from the Porsche AG in Stuttgart, Germany and from Porsche Austria. Mr. Ferdinand Alexander Porsche and his family, along with top-tier Porsche management, will be in attendance to enjoy the different happenings throughout the whole weekend.
Hankook Tire will be the only sponsor of this prestigious event.
After being approached by the Porsche Classic Club Austria officials it didn’t take long for Hankook’s management to decide in favor of sponsoring this very exclusive event. “The 2nd F.A. Porsche Cup will provide a perfect opportunity for us to showcase all the advantages of Hankook’s premium products"-said Hankook European Headquarter’s Senior Marketing Manager Calvin Pak. Hankook’s recently introduced Ventus S1 evo tire,
especially designed for use on powerful upscale vehicles such as Porsche, will be the featured product. A limited number of approximately 180 pre-registered participants, and their Porsche cars, will take part in the 2nd F.A. Porsche Cup. The organizers put together a fun-loaded and exciting weekend for all Porsche lovers in attendance, featuring many highlights such as slalom and acceleration races, excursions and other attractions. Up to 60 lucky participants will get the once-in-a-life-time chance to visit the private “Porsche Design Studio", which is usually closed to the public. All participants will be able to feast their eyes on almost 200 Porsche vehicles from different decades, and will enjoy an exclusive presentation of “Porsche LeMans Race Cars" provided by the Porsche Museum.
The participants will get a chance to see Hankook’s Ventus S1 evo in action as some of the Porsche cars competing in the races will be equipped with this new and exciting ultra-high-performance tire.
Three sets of Ventus S1 evo tires will serve as the grand-prize for winners of different competitions. The event area will be branded with Hankook flags and banners and Hankook’s mototrsports truck will be on display. Hankook’s marketing and racing managers as well as engineers will be present to support the event and to answer all questions regarding the company’s products. Together with the Porsche Classic Club Austria, Hankook will certainly be able to make this year’s F.A. Porsche Cup an even bigger success than in 2003.
