Hankook Tire Named to 'DJSI (Dow Jones Sustainability Indices) World' for Two Consecutive Years
Hankook Tire has been included in the '2017 Dow Jones Sustainability Indices World' for two consecutive years. As Korea's very first tire company to be selected as one of the best companies in the auto parts manufacturing industry since 2016, Hankook Tire has been acknowledged as a global, top-tier company with sustainable corporate management. The Dow Jones Sustainability Indices are a family of indices jointly developed in 1999 by the Dow Jones Indices, US, and RobecoSAM, Switzerland, an investment management company. The indices evaluate corporations based on their social contribution, corporate governance, human rights, and environments as well as their yearly financial performance for the top 2,500 global companies with the highest market capitalization around the world. While only 23 companies from Korea were included in the '2017 Dow Jones Sustainability Indices World', Hankook Tire has been included for two consecutive years and proved to be a global top-tier company with sustainable corporate management.

Korea's first company to be included in the 'CDP Supplier Engagement Leader Board'
Hankook Tire has been included in the 'CDP Supplier Engagement Leader Board' as the very first and only company from Korea, for our constant efforts to manage the carbon emission in our supplier chain. CDP classifies the supplier engagement of climate change responses in 8 levels and allow companies with A grade, the top grade, to be included in the CDP Supplier Engagement Leader Board. Out of 3,300 companies evaluated for 2018, 58 companies or the top 2% were added to the board.

Hankook Tire received a Gold prize in the Digital Communication-Report Sector at the Spotlight Awards by LACP, a prestigious global marketing research agency, for the publication of the CSR Report 2016/17 in 2017. In addition, Hankook Tire was ranked 32 out of 1,500 entries and was included in the top 100 prize winners for 2017, receiving perfect scores for technique of the contents, visual design, clarity of the message, and efficiency and perceived relation of the message to be delivered to the audience.

Overall B+ Rating for 2017 Korea Corporate Governance Service ESG Evaluation
Korea Corporate Governance Service ESG Evaluation enhances social responsibilities of the domestic companies and encourages such activities while rating the companies based on three codes of practice: Environmental Responsibility, Social Responsibility, and Governance. The evaluation results are used as reference for comprising the responsible investment index items of Korea Exchange. In the 2017 ESG Evaluation, Hankook Tire obtained an overall rating of B+ (A for Environmental Responsibility, B+ for Social Responsibility, and B+ for Governance). Our ratings for Social Responsibility and Governance are the highest among all companies in the industry.
