Seoul, Korea, August 23, 2023 – Global leading tire company Hankook Tire & Technology (Hankook Tire) announced that its website has been named “Winner” in the Brands & Communication Design category at the Red Dot Design Award 2023, one of the world’s most prestigious design competitions.
Hankook Tire was recognized for user-centered design of both its global and region-specific websites, as well as for enhancing customer accessibility. The company was also praised for presenting a distinctive brand identity through sophisticated visuals and an interactive, content-driven approach to web design.
Hankook Tire revamped the design of its website in May 2022, centered on its “New Innovation Platform” theme. Since then, the company has kept its websites continuously updated with a wide range of diverse content, including stories covering the ABB FIA Formula E World Championship, Hankook Tire’s EV-exclusive tire brand iON, and ‘MADE IN HANKOOK,’ a cultural brand developed by the company to explore and promote motor culture through multimedia content and offline events.

The Red Dot Design Award ranks among the world’s top three design competitions, along with the iF Design Award and the International Design Excellence Awards (IDEA). This year’s Red Dot Design Award for Hankook Tire is the latest the company has received from renowned domestic and global competitions for its official websites. Other successes include awards at the iF Design Award 2023, the 2022 Awards for New Digital (A.N.D) Award and WEB AWARD KOREA 2022.
