Hankook Tire & Alzen Mortosport Signing Ceremony

Hankook Tire & Alzen Mortosport Signing Ceremony
- Hankook becomes strategic Partner of Alzen Motorsport

Hankook Tire held a signing ceremony with Jurgen Alzen Motorsport on March 21st in Betzdorf, Germany. The event was attended by the editor in chief of Auto Motor Sport, a prestigious auto publication in Germany, numerous reporters and other related personnel.
The contract was for the annual Nurburgring 24-hour race. The famously challenging race attracts millions of viewers at home and thousands of spectators who come out to see the more than 200 participating vehicles every year. It is a course that demands outstanding skill and endurance from the drivers and their cars. (2006 German media surveys show last year’s race was broadcast for nine hours on 11 channels and viewed by 4.83 million people).
This year’s race in June will feature a broad range of activities to support the Alzen team and promote the Hankook Tire brand in Germany and Europe.

There are numerous 24-hour endurance races in the world, but none boasts a longer course than the Nurburgring in Germany. With a track totaling 25.947 km, the Nurburgring 24-hour race consists of three car groups: two for tuned cars and one for non-tuned cars. Due to the duration of the race, the durability of tires and cars is crucial for a top finish.
