For the second time Hankook Tire participated in the annual Paris Tuning Show, which
took place February 24-28, 2005 in Paris, France. The constantly growing consumer tuning fair provided a great opportunity for Hankook to showcase the global tire maker’s wide variety of Ultra-High-Performance tires. The company’s showing in Paris strongly supports Hankook’s intention to increasingly penetrate the tuning market in Europe.
The “Paris Tuning Show" is an annual consumer trade fair devoted to car tuning products. The show grew astonishingly fast over the last years, now being a well respected international gathering of tuning fans from around the globe. The 2005 Paris Tuning Show broke last year’s records with over 170 international exhibitors showcasing their products on more than 40.000m?of exhibition grounds. Approximately 150.000 visitors wandered the halls of the
“Parc des Expositions de Paris" this year, marking yet another all-time high. The show also received extensive media attention with over 350 media representatives in attendance.
The end-consumer focused show provided the perfect stage for Hankook to display its wide variety of Ultra-High-Performance-, motosports-, and SUV-tires, which were presented on displays placed alongside Hankook’s stand. The focus was put on Hankook’s very successful "Ventus" line, and especially the newly introduced premium "Ventus S1 evo" tire. The highlights among the displayed SUV tires included Hankook’s new 28" tire and the record
breaking “Dynapro AT" tire, which recently helped a German expedition and their Volkswagen Touareg to set the Altitude World Record for cars.
Even though the tires were certainly the main focus of Hankook’s appearance, the global tire maker had a lot more to offer for the visitors of its stand - fast cars and gorgeous women. A Hankook sponsored Renault Clio 2.0 RS Ragnotti competing in the French Tarmac Rally Championship was on display, raising the pulse of every motorsports and tuning fan. The little power-pack however, had to share the stage with sheer beauty and grace.
Hankook’s dance team performed a well choreographed show several times throughout the day and attracted large crowds to the company’s stand. On top of all this, the visitors went home with bags filled with merchandising articles handed out by Hankook’s attractive hostesses.
The 2005 Paris Tuning Show was an all out success for Hankook Tire. The global tire manufacturer was able to underline the relevance of its products for the tuning market and was a hot spot of this consumer fair. Said Gerald Ferraud-Ciandet, racing and marketing manager of Hankook France "Our stand was very well received by visitors and show-organizers alike. Based on visitor’s comments, the show-officials voted our stand and our show
performance the best of this year’s Paris Tuning Show". The 2005 Paris Tuning Show marked Hankook Tire’s third impressive showing at a major European trade show in the last months, after appearances at the 2004 Essen Motor Show and the 2005 Autosport International Racing Car Show in Birmingham.
